Over the centuries since Ooljee and Yiska rediscovered the Real Place, the Uto-Aztecan culture grew and spread phenomenally. Some common words and traditions held on, but eventually as the people spread, their cultures expanded with them. Generation after generation the details of stories changed, accommodating to the places where the people found themselves; different dialects evolved into different languages. Each people became set apart in some ways—but the network of knowledge and trade still thrived for hundreds of miles in all directions.
